Yes, I use software more these days and can get my sounds how I want them digitally, but having been familiar with stables in the hardware of music production early on, I was able to have a clue as to how best to tweak for a “analog sound” which takes a Keen ear.

You can get away with what you want with the average listener today (now) but your goal should be to create your beats & music to be timeless and the warmer and more phat it sounds tends to determine its classic ability (of course 1 million other elements determine a classic, but the engineering plays a small but important role in the perceivable classic) IMO, Peep him out though.
